Better Late than Never

Oops!  Looks like I've forgotten something.  I've just been chided by Mi Mi for forgetting to wish all our feline friends "Happy International Cats Day" which fell on Aug 8.  Now what was I so busy about that I forgot this very important day?

Let me see, it was a Tuesday...oh I know, our temple kitchen roof sprung a leak due to a heavy storm the night before and the kitchen was flooded with dirty rain water.  All the nuns swept, cleaned and mopped the whole morning and Head Nun asked me to carry on with the day's prayers since they were all busy.  In the hurry and flurry, I guess I forgot ICD.

Sorry folks but better late than never.  Hope you all had a wonderful day filled with purrs and endless cuddles from your human and feline friends! Meow!

Goodbye, My Heroes

I paid a visit to the temple this morning after more than a year's absence due to the Covid19 lockdown and it was with much sadness that I learnt that my two heroes, Da and Ning have both died, either due to sickness or old age.  They were the beloved pets of the Head Nun, who also passed away a couple of months ago at the age of 100.  The kitchen where the cats used to play seems so empty now and I know I'm going to miss them every time I come to the temple. Thank you so much for being there, my dear friends and for allowing me to take so many wonderful pictures of you for my blog.  You may be gone but you shall live on in my stories!  Da and Ning, wherever you are, may you both be forever blissful and happy!
